Climate Change Policy

The Company is committed to managing climate change risks across its operations, investment portfolio and value chain and developing strategies in line with industry best practices to mitigate the impact of climate change, to adapt its operations to climate change and to build its climate resilience to support the transition to a net-zero emissions economy.

It is the Company’s policy to:

Mitigation
2.1.1
Reduce its carbon emissions in accordance with near and medium-term targets that are aligned with industry best practice and aligned to its long-term commitment to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050;
2.1.2
Adopt industry best practices to improve energy efficiency in its operations;
2.1.3
Encourage its employees, investees and suppliers to reduce carbon emissions in their daily operations wherever practicable; and
2.1.4
Incorporate climate change considerations in its operation and encourage the use of low or zero carbon and energy efficient products.
2.2
Adaptation
2.2.1
Assess the financial, physical and transition risks and opportunities associated with climate change and its impact on its investment portfolio;
2.2.2
Ensure processes and measures are in place to prevent or minimise the damage caused by climate change and to take advantage of the opportunities that may arise;

2.2.3
Consider climate change in the investment portfolio; and
2.2.4
Report on its climate risks and opportunities as per the Taskforce for Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) framework.
2.3
Resilience
2.3.1
Put in place investment strategies to capture the business and market opportunities that may arise in the global transition to a net-zero emissions economy.
2.3.2
Incorporate climate change and extreme weather events into its enterprise risk management processes and business continuity plans;
2.3.3
Ensure that relevant information and resources are available for the monitoring and regular review of the impact of climate change impact on its employees and operations; and
2.3.4
Support public policies and strategies that deal in a coordinated and consistent manner with the social problems relating to climate change.
3.
The Company will review this policy periodically.
